As finally the good weather arrived here in Shanghai, and i mean we do need it, considering what came down yesterday. So, on this hot sweaty day, i decided to give up the steaks and do something more refreshing, lets say more summerish. So i came up with this idea of doing a carrot and orange granita. Have a look by yourself, who would not want to try and indulge him/herself in such a great and healthy treat?. And for those who are having trouble with kids not eating there vegetables, well, here is a terrific idea.
Recipe:
3 cups carrot juice
1 cup orange juice
2 tablespoon honey
Few sprig of fresh mint, chopped and a few for garnish
method;
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, and mix well. Pour the juice over a shallow container, and place in the freezer. After an hour, use a fork and stir the juice. Repeat the process until iced. Be careful not to scratch your container :-)
When the granita is ready, pour into your favorite glass
